Hi VP,
The patient/prisoner complained of five weeks of right iliac fossa abdominal pain. The watch was reported to be still running after removal. That either means it was an automatic and he writhed around a lot, or a battery powered quartz. I will give you the answer later today.
A pocket watch?! I realise there was a range of sizes, but swallowing a pocket watch would take quite some effort. Didn’t you mother tell you not to gulp down your food? J

A common prisoner tattoo is a watch or clock with no hands. Time may seem endless to the inmate, and there is plenty of clamor to remind him of meals and yard time. I haven't known one to swallow this style of watch yet, but nothing surprises me any more....
