1. Ladies': Voutilainen 28CG. I like Kari's work, what can I say?
2. Ladies' Complicated: Chopard Imperial Four Seasons. A watch with a seasons display? That's kind of interesting.
3. Time Only: Raul Pages. The Daniel Roth was so close!
4. Men's: Garrick Dead Beat Seconds
5. Men's Complication: Bovet World Time; World Time watches are often 4 times a year because Europe and America do not have the same transitions to and from Daylight Savings Time. So, this watch has rollers on the city displays so the four times a year when Europe and America don't sync up. A pioneering interpretation of the Louis Cottier original!
6. Iconic: The Piaget. An icon of the 1970s past will once again be an icon of the future. The 1970s lives on again!
7. Tourbillon: Bulgari Ultra Thin Tourbillon. The Fam Al Hut is really quite a watch, very modern and has some fun retrograde functions. But, a Tourbillon that thin from Bulgari really deserves recognition and a prize.
8. Mechanical Exception: Hazemann & Monnin. I really liked the Luca Soprana Derek Platt invention watch, but ultimately I chose the Hazemann & Monnin because I felt the latter fulfilled the rules of the Mechanical Exception category more than the Luca Soprana timepiece.
9. Chronograph: Louis Moinet: honor to the actual inventor of the chronograph. There has been only one man being the first on the moon. So there is only one man being the actual inventor of the Chronograph!
10. Sports Watch: Ressence. I tried on this watch recently and instantly felt joy. An innocent child-like joy where this watch appeals to one's inner child. I dare anyone to not feel joy when wearing this watch!
11. Jewellery: Simon Brette is my choice. Explanation; this category is so hard, the Chopard Swan, the swan opens up to reveal a watch underneath, all that articulation in the swan's wing is impressive. The jewelry setting of the Dior flowers is also impressive as it's a combination of snow setting, pavé, and other stone setting techniques. The Simon Brette is definitely the mechanical leader, but the jeweled dial is also just beautifully set.
12. Artistic Crafts: Voutilainen. The Maki-E art form is an art form I enjoy and one I patronize. So I'm attracted to Voutilainen's entrant!
13. Petite Aiguille: Otsuka Lotec
14. Challenge: BEDA'A - just a handsome watch!
15. Clock: Trilobe Le Temps Retrouvé. The Fiona Kruger clock is also beautiful. But that Trilobe just breaks the mold! Miki Eleta should win this category, the category was arguably started for him - but I have him pegged as the winner of the show.
16. Winner of the Show: Miki Eleta Clock. This spaceship UFO clock also features multiple automaton features and a Tourbillon! It's not as serious as his other clocks which have astronomical indications and are housed by Royals. His clocks are also handmade without the use of CNC machines, no CAD (Computer Aided Design). He makes calculations by hand and with a scientific calculator. He's also been a finalist twice, but never a winner.
