Pieces that borrow designs heavily from the past but then “forget” to use a decent movement.. especially for those from their golden years..

 

An interesting example is the railmaster trilogy. An auto instead of a manual BUT then gets away with it because it’s still a decent omega co-ax movement. I still bought it in spite of my “rule” because it’s the closest to an RM I can get. Its’ probably why i’m hesitant to go with a Longines. Storied brand with accompanying movements esp the chrono. But then I wouldn’t mind if Oris put a Sellita on their divers 65 because they weren’t exactly about movements to begin with not to mention that they’re not as historic as Longines smile
