Horological Meandering

Remembering a fresh post in the Chopard forum:

Why not a special edition of the 1937?

With some slight modifications, it might yet become (another) community watch made by them.

This base model could offer:
1/ capability of higher production numbers and more affordable price range
2/ while having a nicely finished watch and movement
3/ Purists look that would even increase if Chopard maybe remembers how to remove a date window

I am listening and reading here, because I'm already interested and convinced that if somebody with the right connections would take the lead, this community would easily accomplish something outstanding (again).
It all starts with an analysis, what kind of watch, simple, with complications? What materials and colors and resulting price range? How many interested? If it turns out that only 15 would place an order, we could easily ask Dornblüth or Habring. If 150, maybe some more production force is needed whereas right behind Chopard, Montblanc and Tudor sounds very interesting to me... Just in case, I am ready for a doodle survey. wink

Awaiting continuation of this post, since it has my attention.
