That Maltese Cross column wheel is a nice touch.
But this Speedmaster is (relatively) inexpensive, and Omega was also involved in the development of this Lemania 2310 I believe so it has some attractiveness .
I'll find time to try one. I wasn't impressed with the CK2998 that I had, its protruding bezel (I think same across many Speedmasters) makes cleaning a bit challenging.

Of these I'd go with the Cornes de Vache or RD, the I like the 5070 movement the most, but it is just too large and the movement is too small for the case.
I do own a CdV and have made my choice indeed.

This VC 47120 is gorgeous.
And the caliber 1141 has two great features: a large balance wheel beating at 2.5Hz and a swan-neck regulator. The 1142 doesnāt have them, but it has the Maltese cross column wheel. I personally prefer these traditional looking calibers to the Omega 321. ...

The āEd Whiteā is certainly attractive.
Iām just personally more attracted to dressier kind of watches. I think being allocated such a piece isn't easy, but not impossible, of course.

The CH 27-70 has a larger balance wheel and lower beat rate (2.5Hz)
which I prefer. But the 1142, though 3Hz and with a smaller balance wheel, looks a little better for me. And I like the Maltese cross column wheel much more than the capped one of the PP. Best, Emmanuel

i never thought of it as a theme
the geneva seal -one of the main factors -but not only. the movement/calibre is always first on the list when choosing a watch-then size- how it looks etc
