That depth is good for snorkelling
and indeed, a diving watch is not needed.
Like I have said many times in the past, a diving watch is pretty much history and good modern watches like all Rolex, Patek 5711, 5167, etc. are all good for the maximum depths of scuba diving. A watch with 50 meters depth rating can still be too little because moving the hands in depts add the pressure. But a good watch, with 100 meters rating (or 10 ATM equalling 90 meters) are all good.

These depths would kill you before reaching 500 meters.
In real life a 300 m Submariner or 200 m Tudor is enough even for all technical diving. These top depth ratings are for desk divers. Best, Kari
As a Divemaster I'm allowed to go 40 m
and I agree with you about the sensible max depth. In 40 meters it starts to be dark and there is not much to see excluding wrecks. Best, Kari

I am simply scared.
