Horological Meandering

I have just bought this " Orange Boy" Autavia ref. 1163, powered by the famous cal. 12 automatic chronograph movement with micro-rotor. I have fallen for the dial that has turned to brown - it is originally black - and for the faded orange hands. This is ...  

Congratulations on landing this one. The Autavias come in various executions and colors, but they are the workhorses . . . the rotating bezels are very useful, and the rugged cases are great. You have a very rare bezel there, with the decimal minutes . . ...

Great pick-up Jeff. These Heuers have a great presence and history. Hope to see a lot more of them next week. Here's some pages from a 1972 Catalogue by a UK distributor. Don't keep these ladys waiting....
