Horological Meandering

This is my approach to the issue as well.

I am very uncomfortable with automatic watches without PR indicators. You never know the state of wind of the mainspring. And there are many more variables affecting it in an automatic - activity level, which wrist (dominant or non-dominant) you wear it on, winding efficiency, duration of wear, etc. With a manual wind watch you just have to wind it until it is fully wound, preferably once per day. My exception to this rule are manual winds with longer PR - 8 days, 10 days, etc. In this situation the PR just serves to emphasise that you have something a little special 'under the hood'.

These are just my impressions as a user and worrier! Many people here prefer a RdM on a manual wind and not an automatic, so you have to go with what works for you,
