Horological Meandering

Through a strange turn of events I am getting a watch from one of those brands for free. I can pick between an LF or a Moritz Grossman piece. I’m leaning towards the MG piece due to the finishing quality, engraved numerals and the incredibly made hands. A... 

LF makes pretty stuff but I've read here and elsewhere that reliability isn't very good. MG is a beast from what I know and have heard. It's basically impossible to beat those hands. My personal pick is below, the Benu 37 Arabic. Simple, all the MG featur...

unless you buy the Hamatic, the Grossmann is likely to be a manual winding watch which I personally prefer. The LF is likely to be an automatic and the manual LF movement does not look half as exciting as any manual Grossmann movement. Also Grossmann watc... 

I’m both biased and ignorant, unfortunately. But I would have assumed that there was no way of going wrong with either of these two brands. The only thing I’m sure of is that, aesthetically, I prefer the LF style, but it’s a personal taste of course. ... 

Other than that I have a clear preference for MG .

This is much more evident in real life than on pics. IMHO one is German, another one - French. I believe the one needs to put both on the wrist and decide. I, personally, would take LF in gold with micro-rotor, but it is not an easy choice indeed.

I’m maybe slightly biased because I own one (centre seconds) and have another on order (hamatic), but I have also explored LF many times and never pulled the trigger. The MG finishing is the best out there and gorgeous to look at every time I wear it. The...
