Horological Meandering

Very interesting

The first watch I was given (back in the 70's) was a Lemania Chrono - 'much too good for a schoolboy' was one watchmakers opinion. I'm ashamed to say I didn't treat it well but later I sent it to Switzerland to be repaired in the early 90's which is where it got the non standard hands, I remember the originals were luminous and quite thick.

I used it when I learned to fly in the mid 90's (it recorded my first solo flight).
One thing puzzles me - on the reverse along with all the correct markings is a big 1959 which I always took to be the year of manufacture/issue.

I'm always toying with the idea of having it refurbished a 2nd time.
