Would very much like to hear a conversation with Mr. Ohira on the principle of weighting a hairspring. I assume it is to function much like an overcoil in its intended effect- controling poising errors from the hairspring's expansion and contraction in a ...

God of adjustment truly deserve the name!

I feel that is a feat well beyond the skills of most watchmakers in the world, in fact this is the first I have ever heard of such level of timing between 6 positions. I had no idea that level of timing was possible with a normal mechanical watch! Of cour... 

.... he is now the senior trainer at the training center for GS global customer service facilities and therefore he has to visit CS centers around the world to train the servicing watchmakers for GS.... :-) Also, I think that the design of the VFA movemen... 

. . . of Mr Ohira is how long a tuned movement will retain its timing before drifting off. Understandably, there isn't a hard and fast answer, but one wonders how long adjustments last on average before he has to take screwdrivers in hand again. Sorta lik...

I am interested, too. My VFA has been doing great for several months already. He has done more than several for his own and I will ask him next time I meet him. But my guess is that is the matter of the parts life. If the main spring is dead, it would be ...

.. but all current GS can be adjusted to that level - but it would need time. It's just that they cannot take such a long time for adjustment but have to ship as soon as the new watches accuracy get within the GS standard (6 positions, NOT 5 positions, mi...

... my tongue slipped. Yes, including yours, there are several Chronometre models non-GS.... in vintage world. This one, I only mentioned as it is one of the modern non-GS.. :-) And no need to worry about being sued or complained by COSC, hehehe. Thanks, ...
