I can tell when someone holds a watch.. or as you put it caresses it.
Regardless of what watch, the attention given to how it is held and looked at, the time the eyes linger over the dial, turning it over, look at the case back...at the movement (sometime adjusting the watch position ever so slightly to get the best look into it) , holding it to their ear, listening to the heart beat. Yup, you can tell.
