I buy watches for me, that I will enjoy wearing. Not to impress someone with a name, not to be part of a club or have the approval of other collectors.
These micro-edition Hublots do not bother me, and what could be cooler for the individuals who are real fans of these themes. I know a cigar guy who is into cigars on the same level we are into watches. He does not care at all about watches, but when I showed him the King Power Arturo Fuente, he immediately ordered one. So I do think Hublot has found a unique way of not only selling watches, but also bringing more people into this passion.

They don't sell them as "limited editions" at the end...
It is a way for Hublot to sell "personalized" watches. It is a bit different mindset. Fx

And apparently there is a big market for this kind of \'uniqueness\' so from a commercial point I can understand why. But that doesn\'t mean I can\'t have a laugh over it.

Hublot makes no secret about their many limited version watches.
I use the word version instead of edition; this particular model does have a unique dial. It is in their mantra, and they do it very well. Sure, it is a different strategy than other brands, but I don't fault them for finding a successful business practic...

Even if not a Bruce Lee fan, this watch dragon motif is cool. BTW, I laugh at the clones with their Rolex editions of 700,000 pieces
I agree. I watched all his movies but cannot consider myself a 'fanatic'. Still, I like the watch. I may even forgive the strap colours But, I have no interest in a Dallas Cowboys watch nor any of the basketball players. I have no Rolex Regards, MTF

I see it the same way... ;-) I want a watch from a certain brand because I like the design, the attitude and the standing of that brand. But I am still an indiviual and I think its great to have a choice and variations of the same model or type of watch.

As a child of the 70s, I like this Hublot Bruce Lee watch but not the strap
The strap is meant to echo the track suit design that Bruce Lee wore in his last movie, Game of Death. The 'Little Dragon' Lee was our hero. Even without the association with Bruce Lee, the dragon motif is cute enough. Regards, MTF
