Last summer a couple of us have had the fantastic opportunity to visit several independents in Switzerland, including the wild and eccentric - at least as far as his watches go - Vianney Halter. Fortunately he had quite some of his collection from the pas...

I’ve always been an enormous admirer of Vianney. Amazing watches, fascinating man!

Somehow fully in line with his watches

I have strong feelings towards the Antiqua Perpetual, I would own a white gold one if I could. This picture was taken eighteen years ago at Basel, I met most of the independents at that time, they were exhibiting together in a small booth on the first flo...  

Its also my fav from VH . Would love to own one as well ...

Any single one I could easily imagine

All VHs are special, but these three... to have that collection... that is something to aim at. They span science fiction from Jules Verne to Gene Roddenberry! Agree that this combination is achingly beautiful. There is also one other — the platinum with ... 

All of the ones we have met last summer have been a model in accessibility and engagement. I can imagine though, which were probably not

KMII Thanks for the reminder. It was the first Vianney Halter Trio of that colour that I'd seen. They are pretty rare in any colour... Certainly more legible than the Antiqua but that watch has a completely out-of-the-box case shape! Can't read the time o...

I have an exciting job but the drawback is that it needs 200% power all the time (it's not a complain but it leaves me only little free time). But at least I am 100 times more lucky than the ones looking for a job !

Such is life but as you say, we are in many ways fortunate irrespective

Although I have to admit that my perspective changed. When only looking at online pictures of his watches not all appealed - seeing them live has gotten me smitten

meeting Vianney Halter and hearing him talk about his passion and philosophy of live and seeing his work in person made me become a huge fan of his Brand

Wow, what an amazing piece of art. What is it about Vianney’s stuff that is so startling, so special, so incredibly FRESH every time you see one? He truly stands apart. This is pure, transcendent art. Congratulations (esp if you are the owner of this gem)... 

But maybe one day I think you really nailed it with your description of what / who Vianney Halter is 👍🏻
