Frodsham shock protection

Because the Daniels Double Escapement is sensitive to shock, a special system has been put in place to protect it. This is a evolution from a system originally developed by Junghans, according to Richard Stenning, director at Frodsham. I don't have the technical know-how to evaluate it, but I do hope fellow purists will comment and shed some light on it. Thanks!

I think all movements are suseptible to shock. If Daniels is more I hope someone can comment on why. On the drawing see the silver colored object on the top of the jewel? That piece of metal and one at the other end put pressure on the jewel keeping the w...
