I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with the community! On May 17–18, I had the privilege of exhibiting at AuroChronos in Warsaw alongside other independent watchmakers. This event has always included an international jury awards ceremony, but this year held a particularly special moment for me.

To my amazement, GoS was awarded the Grand Prix—"Best in Show"—for the Sarek Frost. The jury praised every aspect of the watch, with special recognition for its innovative use of materials, particularly the miniature ice blocks made from sapphire crystal. These elements embody the watch’s inspiration: a frost-covered cottage window frame in the depths of winter.

While GoS is best known for introducing pattern-welded steel into high-end watchmaking, the Sarek Frost also reflects my deep connection to nature—a recurring theme in my work.

This award is an incredible honor and a validation of the years spent refining design, craftsmanship, and material innovation. A huge thank you to Jacques Binggeli, the senior Swiss designer I’ve collaborated with for over a decade. His expertise has been invaluable in fine-tuning my concepts, and his understanding of my Swedish inspirations has been instrumental in bringing these timepieces to life.
