I'm always impressed by PSM.
I like that all his designs meld traditional and modern elements. The new movement is lovely, and IMO the Marin-1 is a real watchmaker's watch. Quite possibly the Shimoda is my favorite of PSM's designs though. Every time I see the Shimoda with Chinese characters I dream about commissioning a piece unique from PSM in the same format, but substituting Thai numerals in place of the Chinese. I think that would be a fun watch!

Can somebody please tell me what the window is just above the 6 o'clock position on the second watch down? I think that the watch is a QP and was wandering whether it was the leap year indicator
It's a spherical moonphase.
If you look closely, you can see a suggestion of a crescent shaped dark area to the right. I think this may be the seam between the metallic and dark parts of the sphere. I'm pretty certain this watch is a QP but there is no leap year indicator on the dia...
