I don’t know much about him,
but I admire his work. Judging by this photograph, I would say the hand color works well. I would say from my prospective, I prefer a polished chrome hand if used in the evening in the case where the existing hands are not lumed.
The ability to reflect what light is available becomes central to readability for me.
