Result of the Auction!!!
After establishing from Christie's that the dial was in perfect condition (it was examined with a loupe) and from Sandra Behrens, the Director of Communications at Moritz Grossmann, that the pocket watch would come with a one year warranty while the wristwatch would come with a two year warranty, I decided to make a final bid seven minutes before the end of the auction. Believe you me when I say that it was the longest seven minutes in my life. I was ready for a final bid by the person that I had just out bided. The seconds ticked - not sure forwards or backwards...........
To my shock, horror and deep amazement, I managed to secure the watch!!! I still cannot believe it!!! Thank you all for your encouragement and support.

I don't recall his name but he was there last Friday evening Nov 30th (he was the only one manning the MG watches, as they were in a case of their own).
I'm pretty sure he said he was based locally in Germany as opposed to being a US based rep. Shouldn't be hard to figure out whom it was. Again, crossing my fingers that I am mistaken and if so apologies for the fire drill! I did look at the photos posted ...
