Thank you very much!!!
Firstly thank you very much for writing to me. Secondly thank you so much for allowing me to win the bid and own this piece unique! I really mean that. I have to tell you this. The maximum I would have bidded on this piece would have been 20k USD. If you had placed a higher bid, I would have instead gone for the Tefnut Grand Dame that finally went for the bargain price of 8k USD. Unfortunately as much as I would have liked to own both pieces, I am financially not able to. As I was telling Mike H, I have used my entire watch budget for 2019 and in a way wish I was not going to the SIHH next month as it could be a very frustrating visit.
So it was a judgement call - this watch or the Tefnut Grand Dame and yes, this costs over twice as much, admittedly, with the pocket watch and I actually prefer the back side of the Tefnut which does not have the silver ring around the movement. But the dial of this watch, the Atum 37 enamel has a wow factor and is the perfect example of how less is more!!!
I am based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but frequent the UK quite often. I would love the privilege of meeting you one day and once again, I thank you for helping me buy this watch. I am not as financially well heeled as many purists but I am passionate and love the few watches that I own.
