Same guy, new name
When I met Stephen Forsay in Geneva, I asked him if Didier Cretin was still with the GF team. My motivation was to learn if it would be possible to meet the man who was instrumental to design and develop my Signature 1.
Stephen rolled his eyes a bit when I asked, then he explained that Didier Cretin in fact changed his name to Bretin a few years ago. This is not a Swiss thing, in fact it’s not an easy thing to do, I assume it was possible because the word Cretin in French has some negative connotations, as was mentioned in replies above by people who speak better French than I do.
I only recently discovered that said Mr. Bretin now runs his own brand Artime.
