You have to pay attention to the dial to "see" or rather "unsee" the blackest black beyond the glass. The lighting at the AD is not the best environment for it.

Not sure about the colours…but so long as it was a fun, some days or weekend watch then the colours are OK. I’d keep the DD too. I have been thinking for a few years now that I need some diamonds on my timepiece too ! 👍🏻
I would never sell the DD
It is my regular beater and most worn watch and probably the last to leave the collection...
