Independents

Thank you very much, dear Mahesh, for this breaking news, the precise information and these first images.

Premature reactions based solely on digital renderings don't make much sense. But here are my first impressions...

The case and bezel design is the only thing that spontaneously appeals to me.

On the dial, I don't like the transparent subdials at all (I much prefer fully solid dials and see no point in this transparency), nor the very long counterweight of the chronograph hand. I also dislike the very strange design of the hour hand, and I regret that the hour subdial adopts the same design as the RRCC: I would have expected something new and original rather than a nod to the RRCC.

As for the movement, as with the RRCC, the near-perfect symmetry doesn't appeal to me: I much prefer the asymmetrical layout of the Lemania-inspired movements. I have the impression that the movement incorporates a column wheel, but it's barely visible, as is the lateral clutch (I suppose there's a lateral clutch, not a vertical one). In short, I don't find in this design the elements that make me love hand-wound chronograph movements.

But this is just a knee-jerk reaction based on photos, so I know it's not worth much.

Thank you again, in any case.

Best, Emmanuel

PS: the photos seen online strongly confirm my initial feeling, unfortunately...
