I read a thread somewhere here that Vianney Halter is no longer working on the Cabestan project but it has in fact been produced and being sold. I am curious, if this is true, what happened to the project that resulted in his departure from the monumental...

As far as I know, Vianney Halter and Jean Francois Ruchonnet put an end to their partnership. Vianney completed the prototype so as it is functionnal as visitors could have seen in Baselworld. Production is to be organized by JFR and his company CREALUX. ... 

This was a price that I was quoted as I was among the earlier customers. Before discounts.

you have changed your mind ? The problem with a piece like this is future maintainence. Considering that having a highly complicated piece by Vianney is already a difficulty for servicing in future, and now it is under the hand of another party with no on...
