Hi Harry, nice to ‘talk’ to you again.
You are correct, the film was “The Core”. An interesting premise but ultimately a disappointing film. Unobtanium, however has a longer history than that – see the entry in Wikipedia for more information.
You inspired me to post a related entry about watch materials on the HoME page.

Judging by what's been revealed of the movement previously,
