A teaser about Horological Machine Number 3
Dear All,
I can’t add much about HM2, but I did have a chat with Max Busser at Tempus regarding the trend to having the mechanical mechanism as the centre of attention with the time-telling function of secondary importance; much like Opus 6, I guess (which Max was not directly involved with). We were talking about this because I was wearing a Reverso Grand Date with the movement side showing. I don’t want to read too much into the conversation, but Max implied that HM3 would have more focus on the movement as well.
Great fun to speculate. Unfortunately, HM3 is likely to be fashioned from Unobtanium. Sounds like HM2 will be at a more accessible price point, so I can’t wait for the photos to flow.

Judging by what's been revealed of the movement previously,
...my guess is that it will have four barrels, bestowing a huge power reserve. Four dials, each mounted concentrically over a barrel arbor. With all these dials and all this power, my guess is that it will be a highly complicated watch. Max wouldn't do so...

the date indicator could double as PR hand... And a wind-alert could be usefull, in a month you forget a lot! Interesting to note the spware case design... M.
