The Kubera Series 1
The Kubera Series 1, ref. FB60-ST00, is one of HAUTLENCE's new timepieces.

The steel case with a layered or tiered construction measures 36.0 x 43.8 x 11.3 mm.

The brass dial with a geometric structure is coated in olive green lacquer.

The
minimalist time display includes a
jumping hour at 12 o'clock and
minute indication by a
cursor moving around the dial’s
periphery, guided by a track hidden beneath the surface.

The watch is powered by a Lajoux-Perret self-winding B60 movement, featuring an anti-magnetic escapement introduced for the first time at HAUTLENCE.

The
name of the watch takes inspiration from
Hindu mythology:
Kubera, the
god of
wealth and
guardian of
underground treasures, is associated with the
earth,
mountains and
precious minerals.
This reference is said to reflect the watch’s aesthetic: an
object with
sculpted surfaces and
rich textures, evoking the
layers and
contours of a
material shaped by
time.

According to the photo below, the layered or tiered construction of the case is likely to accumulate some dust...

As
Guillaume Tetu says in the
video I've placed at the
end of this
post, HAUTLENCE's
goal with the
Kubera was to make a
watch that was
easier to
wear on a
daily basis than the brand's other pieces.

The
steel bracelet has a
cascade construction with
links becoming progressively
smaller and it is
interchangeable with a
quick-release system. The
folding clasp also features a
micro-
adjustment system.
