This watch has been a source of great frustration to me
I love and want it! Obviously it's a one of one, and even if it weren't, it's from a maker whose watches I can't afford.
HOWEVER, it seemed to me that it would have been extremely natural and extremely easy for Lange to make a version of the Richard Lange that took this watch as inspiration: a big three hand chronometer with a long sweep seconds in a black dial with vintage tool watch styling. If they did, that would be a new Lange that I'd have been happy to pay for, and all it would really require would be a change of dial and hands! All their standard case metals would have worked fine, but if I'd been in charge, they'd have done rose gold and platinum, with a steel solid back LE just to tickle everyone.
But instead the Richard Lange languishes, unloved, even by me.

Your point of view is very interesting.
I completely understand your idea, but it doesn't seem to be the kind of project Lange has in mind, unfortunately. But who knows what the future holds? Very unlikely, but not necessarily totally impossible. Best, Emmanuel

I find the dial of this model slightly oppressing compared to the other one you posted the other day. I suspect it is a visual trick caused by the small blocks on the dial forcing the sight to focus inwards. For this reason I would choose the other model....
I agree! I do love the design in general, but would go for the small second!
Also I am not comfortable with the stepped minute hand - either straight or curved. The movement is of course 💯💯💯

but RRCC and RRCA are two completely different watches, imo. So, I wouldn't even think of comparing them. Best, Emmanuel
As you can see on the two last photos of the post,
the Chronomètre Antimagnétique (RRCA) is very different from the Chronomètre Contemporain (RRCC): two very different designs. And, like you, I prefer the RRCC. Best, Emmanuel
RRCC and RRCA are completely different timepieces.
I wouldn't personally even think of comparing them. And the dial design of the RRCC is completely original (and wonderful), whereas the dial of the RRCA is reminiscent of other scientific watches. Best, Emmanuel

the intriguing part, man voted for RRCA and ladies for RRCII ( i was in the latter camp).
Its such a amazing and very good looking watch in person and on the wrist.
Can’t wait to see what the normal version will be soon . Ofcourse difficult to order due to higher demand and i think price point but would love to have one 🙏🏻🙏🏻 ...
