We can probably never know

These sorts of watches are produced in miniscule quantities which don't lend themselves to any sort of statistical analysis, and even if they did no maker or AD is going to give figures for how many are returned under guarantee.  Many will never be worn, or worn once every blue moon on special occasions, and the majority will probably spend most of their time in a safe somewhere, and I doubt any of them get the kind of wear a normal watch would.  So any "evidence" is going to be at best annecdotal.  Personaly, I don't see how we can ever know if Debethunes are more or less reliable than something from any other such maker.
