well, it's unlikely there are 4k-plus orders for the 17.09
when you say 4***, do you mean your order number was "2017-4***"? if yes, that's all the orders since ming opened shop.
thus, if you got an 18.01 diver yours would have been mid-2*** and if you got an early 17.09 you'd have seen maybe 33**.
having said that, seems there are a thousand or so orders for 17.09s and yup, looks like a 12-plus-month wait

For those who don't want to go through the race for the prebuilt ones. A year is a very long time to wait though... This is one of the downsides of independent brands. It is nice to be able to take your time with a purchase, and stroll into an AD whenever...

I would have loved it if there was a time limited batch on some previous models. The wait is a pain but it's good to have this option given how tough it is to land a spot in the smaller batches. I went very fast, but I still put it down to some good luck....

Hopefully in the future the wait times will be shorter, but it's better than not being able to order one at all.
