Had an exception dinner tonight w/ excellent companions and great time pieces... Start w/ the Journe Tokyo Boutique Trio: Then we move onto 3 x H. Moser Perpetual Double Hairspring! Yes, all three fitted w/ double hairspring escapement. This is Hairspring...

Independents galore. I can't remember seeing so many Lang&Heyne's together anywhere before. I used to think their onion crown is anchronistic, but looking at all those watches I was surprised to find those crowns the nicest, most balanced with the cas...

I was somewhat disappointed that David did not bring along his two Roger Smith's and Lang & Heyne (Konrad der Grobe - constant force and jumping seconds).....

What a gathering... Very impressive gathering of fine timepieces! Very. Impressive.

....There is sooooo much choice out there, outside of the regular names in horology. All of those watches, in one way or another sing, to the heart. My personal take, and we will see if I am correct, is that independent watch manufacturers will become a b... 

The indy path could be a lonely one as there are fewer to resonate with. On the table you see a wide variety of horology approaches and qualities that are difficult to find in the main stream brands. Stories behind the watches add so much to the fun of co...
