BaselWorld 2013 : Voutilainen Kari Voutilainen showed as usual a small number of stunning pieces. These all use the new 28 movement with its direct impulse escapement with two escape wheels. The wheels are in red gold, the plate and bridges in german silv...

...he asked us not to post photos of that particular case back, at the request of the new owner. Looks like the cat is out of the proverbial bag, however... My understanding is that this is another take on the Daughters of Atlas caseback on the Masterpiec...

I think I didn't takea picture of the dial. Yes that looks like a power reserve to me too, and I know that Kari has one in his lineup. But I don't see one in my dial pictures. :( Don

... drool (and spittle) all over my keyboard. Kari's pieces are stunning. Hence, the drool (spittle, et al). When one of us Purists gets hold of a Voutilainen, that pretty much does it for the bucket list. Thanks so much for sharing your outstanding photo...
