Yes, remembering back in the days..
I didn't know there are applied lume for the watch since any reading material / photos / video on the UR was so rare back then.. when I bought it on the spot that's the first very time I see one n hold one in my hand! .. so the spectacular lume is a real bonus! And what a pleasant surprise it was!!

You are right it is indeed what a shame.. I own a few MB&F (HM2 HM3 LM1 n LM101) which I don't wear. Not that I don't love them, but they "look" too special for daily beating. They (URWERK n MB&F) are "toys" to me that I only wear on weekends n on...
