Yosuke Sekiguchi's new Primevère
Independent watchmaker Yosuke Sekiguchi has unveiled the 2026 edition of his “Primevère”, which features two novelties:
One of the pocket watches by Jules Jürgensen that served as direct inspiration for the design of the movement (personal photos taken at the Museum in Le Locle).

For comparison, here's how the 2025 Primevère with a burgundy dial and a rose gold case looked like. You can also check my previous posts dedicated to Yosuke Sekiguchi:

Do you like this new dial with stylised Arabic numerals?
And do you like the combination of a yellow gold case with a black enamel dial?
I personally find the design of the Arabic numerals very appealing and I like that the numbers 4 to 8 are not flipped (yes, I've been poisoned by our dear mdg ;-) ).
And I also love the idea of a yellow gold case for such a classic looking watch.
But I'm not sure yet if I prefer the Arabic or Roman dial: Arabic is more original, but Roman is as classy as it is classic.
Best, Emmanuel
