The bezel mechanism has a really smooth feel to it , similar to a Rolex in that regard. As to whether it would leak ( I’m no expert ) I can’t imagine it would, additionally I’m not a diver , so I can’t say how it would perform. I absolutely love dive watches and I like the modern interpretation that IWC does with this watch. I do completely understand what you’re referring to regarding the engineering aspect, especially with the part opposite the crown. It’s certainly more of a desk diver for me. I own a couple of bracelets with hooks and I haven’t been stabbed…yet!! Great question BTW

I have always enjoyed the look of a bracelet with a watch. This just happens to have a Tahitian pearl on leather band, I think it will work with most of my watches. What do you think with the Aquatimer? ...

Been curious about the bezel mechanism of the current model, at first sight it looks over complicated and a potential source of leaks vs an outside bezel, how does it feel and work in practice? As for the bracelet it looks nice but I'd be concerned about ...
