The ref. SL 3212 Yacht Club was produced from ca. 1977 - 1980. And only very few of the 300 - 400 pieces were equipped with the super-slim JLC 889 automatic calibre (called at IWC: cal 3254). Most of the few IWC YCII that you might find today are actually equipped with Quartz calibers.

This case geometry would do very well in todays market
Although a remake compete with the Ingenieur, feels much sleeker, I always preferred the older IWC branding also.
