This is the brand that got me hooked on watches 25 years ago. Around that time, I attended a collectors’ meeting in Schaffhausen sponsored by the IWC Collectors’ Forum, then moderated by Michael Friedberg, a fellow attorney in Chicago and very active on TimeZone from its origins. Were any WPS members in attendance? A great brand at the time. Not sure I like what the brand has done over the past decade or so. In my opinion, too many references were introduced which merely rehashed some of my favorite references from the early 2000’s.
The IWC GST Perpetual- Still my favorite watch
I bought this watch in 2001 as a present to myself when I made partner in my law firm. To this day, I can’t think of a more versatile grand complication watch. A sporty perpetual calendar which looks great with jeans, a suit or even a tuxedo! ...
That steel and grey dial version is a great looking watch.
I particularly like the use of white hands for the chronograph functions and silver hands for the calendar displays. Thanks for the picture. All the best, Jon
