Love the bronze pilot
I just purchased mine a few weeks ago and as you have beautifully captured, it starts as a very shiny red/yellow gold.
After a few weeks it has begun to patina very nicely giving it a vintage look which is consistent with the design. A latest photo for your viewing to show the current status,

I saw, side by side, the BP Gold and the Bronze. The Bronze, when new, is more yellow than the gold. Cheers, Nilo
