So one had the same issue as mine
With the date and day out of sync. When I called IWC, they told me that that could happen because the mechanism slipped due to it needing service, or if someone adjusted the day too quickly, too slowly, or during the danger zone (8pm-4am). I mean, with all the caveats, it doesn't sound that simple anymore lol.
To be honest, the Moonphase being out of sync wouldn't bother me too much.

I have heard of others who have said the PC is a pain. I think the side of the mechanism that's not talked about being so simple to use, is that when it does slip up, you can't do anything to adjust it. It has to go back.
