I also used to have the automatic chronograph and I agree it was a great beater.
I suspect this is the same movement as the DaVinci PCC and I do plan on taking care with it. Although it was produced as a complicated sports watch you could take to the beach, I have a G Shock for that role. I plan on wearing this when I want something complicated and interesting that will go under most people’s radar.

Great IWC , i remember my GST chrono i had many (many ) years ago.
Was my daily beater back then . If this is a similar movement as the DaVinci PC then i suggest to be a bit more extra careful with it as these movements are fragile imo .

Yes, I was surprised. With watchmakers taking summer holidays, I was expecting it back in September or October.
Perhaps IWC chains their watchmakers to their benches and doesn’t let them take holidays!
