very nice amd interesting review
i was actually going to bid on a gold cased cal 89 from 1964 for my collection as IWC's seem to elude me, but i was informed that parts are very hard to get hold of so on that basis i passed on it and instead bought a lovely Longines 30L in rose gold.
if you could clarify whether parts are available i may revise my view and go for the cal 89 when i have the money.
i look forward to hearing some pleasing news.

Seems familiar
I know this is an old post but the author took some liberties from an article John Davis and I wrote, along with our photos. Glad to have info passed on to as many as possible, but not very respectable to lift stuff from others and pass it on as original....
