...you just might have to if you need to time a safety stop or decompression stop. And if setting the bezel pre-dive, this would usually be done in a wet environment, ie. floating on the surface prior to descending.

Polaris Crown Question
Are the bezel and alarm crowns rated for use underwater? From a practicality standpoint, as a diving watch, the bezel at least should be operable in wet conditions. Any info on this available?

I know about the overall rating of the watch and if indeed the crowns are operable under water, it would be amazing.

... I'm not an expert at all with regards to the Polaris, but I wouldn't operate any crown under water on any watch. Isn't an internal timing bezel a bit of a faux pas with any compressor watch?... e.g. you cannot operate under water.

The documentation says
that the the alarm crown must be pushed in to insure water-resistance. Apparently the bezel can be operated under water, as there is no warning as with the alarm crown in the text. Un saludo, Tony
why would u turn bezel underwater?
used to time dive, you turn to needed spot BEFORE diving and then while diving it tells you time submerged... or well time left.. you dont wanna turn it under water, unless you found a spare tank while diving and wanted to increase dive time
