This means you set it to zero. Go on your dive. The max depth is registered of the dive and when you get home you reset. Or You prepare the watch by pumping it and then when you dive it shows the variable depth. Still confused. Bill

This watch is a record keeper of the dive. Not really a diving tool to use as a reference during the dive in conjunction with other equipment. I have heard some of the other watches with this type of "complication - depth gauge" if one can call it that us...

For me the plexy just give the watch, not only a sharp vintage look but also it shows more of the Portugese's heritage and roots. IMHO, the Portugese current collection should have a more 'vintage' feel like your 5000. The 5002 is a nice watch, please don...

Hi Pana, It is absolutely clear after your explanation. I did not see the second yellow marking the max depth arrow underneath the white one the first time round as I did not know what I was actually looking at. Crystal clear now thanks again. Bill
