maybe intentional?
it appears to me as if the tips are 'burned' to make them blue-ish like the screws in high-end movements. I'm not sure, but have noticed it in every picture of similar ones since seeing mine in person. :-)
Mine is running still a bit slow, maybe two minutes over 4-5 days. I have adjusted the index gradually and it has about two more ticks till the end of the marks. However, while close, it isn't perfectly level as we're about to move offices around and I figure I'll work on that after settling in.

A classic JLC Heritage Atmos from 1973... Just put it out, leveled it and started it off. We'll see how its running over the next few weeks.

an EWC with orange strap would probably have done an even better job. And don't get me wrong, I have other watches as well and usually wear a Sinn for sports....

Yes the Extreme World Chrono could have been a close graphic option. This watch is a limited series available from the JLC Boutique in Paris....
