Just put it out, leveled it and started it off. We'll see how its running over the next few weeks.

Have you tried to post pics using the email function?

You go to your main post, click on the small letter symbol on the right of "Respond to this post", and then you just have to attach your pic to the mail, write down your text, give a title in the title line of the mail (just keep the reference number before your title), add 

and then send and you're done.

So,

Here's that Atmos. I've fine-tuned the index twice and it seems to be within seconds a day accurate, with only a few days of playing around with it. Very cool to watch. My office mates are all amazed at the design.



While I'm at it, I'll go ahead an throw in a picture of what Ms. Claus surprised me with. An Omega Planet Ocean with Orange strap has been added to my growing collection. She got it mainly for me to wear at company functions (primary color is same orange), but also knew I appreciated it for George Daniel's coaxial movement and it would make a rugged daily wearer.

Here's a Chrstmas day shot of my best three watches. I bought the Master Geographic early in the year and after months and months of looking, finally found the Master Perpetual I wanted.

You should have been monitoring my heart Christmas morning...I find a watch box wrapped up...thinking, "wow, could she have gotten me that Ultrathin, maybe a reverso? Can't imagine she would without my input..." and then I see "Omega" on the inner box.

I open it up and see that Planet Ocean...with all the orange. I founded a company (and am VP of Marketing) that uses alot of bright orange for our branding, so she thought this would be great for me to wear at company functions, tradeshows, etc.  (She also picked her ipod based on color matching her ice blue miata.)  Everyone at work is jealous and I am enjoying having a daily beater that I don't excess over, scratch-wise.

Once I found out that it actually uses George Daniel's coaxial escapement, I was further excited to have been given this watch. I really miss the 'zing' of my JLC's winding on my wrist, though.

Here's my logo...you'll understand why it was purchased:

an EWC with orange strap would probably have done an even better job.

And don't get me wrong, I have other watches as well and usually wear a Sinn for sports.

Yes the Extreme World Chrono could have been a close graphic option.

This watch is a limited series available from the JLC Boutique in Paris.

are just barely over 6". I think the 42mm Planet Ocean is really almost too large, but I have ordered the smaller strap/clasp and believe it will wrap slightly better and position the watch so that it 'fits' sufficiently. Right now, it hangs slightly off and can look a bit big on my thin wrists. I believe the EWC is much larger?  46mm or so?  I just couldn't pull it off.

My next JLC's will be one of the older reverso's and likely one of the older MUTs if they larger one comes out as expected.

I just got an Atmos of the same vintage in late Noverber. It runs great and has shown no measurable gain or loss since i started it. One thing I've noticed on mine, on your picture and others I've seen is the fading of the gold plate on the tips of the hands. I guess this is normal?

it appears to me as if the tips are 'burned' to make them blue-ish like the screws in high-end movements. I'm not sure, but have noticed it in every picture of similar ones since seeing mine in person.   :-)

Mine is running still a bit slow, maybe two minutes over 4-5 days. I have adjusted the index gradually and it has about two more ticks till the end of the marks. However, while close, it isn't perfectly level as we're about to move offices around and I figure I'll work on that after settling in.
