NSA 'breaks' after a few months.
I bought my NSA on 11th November 2010. It has spent 4 or 5 weeks on my wrist.
Last week I was flying interstate and needed to adjust the time. When I attempted to do this the crown and spindle separated from the watch.
For a watch that has 1,000 hours or testing, I was surprised. (Not to mention the price tag!)
So, perhaps there is an issue with regards to JLC quality control.

It is a nice comparison of the two watches's design, thickness and size. Both beautiful, I might add. I hope you can figure hot what is happening to the lume of the zero marker. That is strange for such a young watch. Best, respo

To see them both together made me notice a couple of things. If you look closely on the NSD, the inner circle doesn’t appear to be round, more like lines between the indexes. Hour and minute hands have black outer edges, which makes them appear smaller. A...

I've been waiting on the NSD but...
... I'm not convinced anymore. I think the 42mm size and thickness is very appealing, but the hands seem a bit small and somehow the 12, 9 and 6 numbers appear to be a bit too big. I'm thinking the NSA might be the one for me after all...

The articulated rubber is a very interesting material in the flesh - though I'm not 100% sure it works on this watch. But neither am I sure about the other two options....maybe a NATO strap?

Play in the Bezel?
Mine's not old enough but I have noticed 'play' in the bezel before it clicks to the next position. So, I am wondering if anyone else experiences this? Cheers...

Didn't know it was a quantifiable thing in terms of clicks, but I have noticed that on many divers. The higher click counts makes for a more solid feeling watch. The sub I have also feels more solid. No idea how many clicks though. Cheers, Carmelo

Perhaps Nico can confirm, but I believe the NSA has the 'bent strip of steel' style unidirectional detent on the bezel (as opposed to the, for example, Rolex captive spring-loaded ball bearing). Next time you have the watch serviced it should be no proble...

..but further to what Nico has already written, there are no more issued watches. Units might do a group purchase, but the US Navy's ANU (Authorised for Navy Use) list has this: COMMANDS ARE AUTHORIZED TO PURCHASE COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE OR STANDARD STOCK ...

It can always happen, sadly.
It is sad, indeed, but it will be repaired without problems. It happened to me with a PP 5712, I sent it to the service center, and it came back flawessly, as epxected. No doubt that it will be the same with your NSA. Best, Nicolas.
