Quick change bracelet
I've been thinking about this. Maybe JLC decided, because it is meant to be a true divers watch, that having a quick change mechanism would compromise the strength of the strap at the lugs which could result in the watch opening at depth (ie if one is fussing with their BC etc.) - which could lead to the loss of a very expensive watch.
Just a thought.
