Why not just a sweep seconds hand? From what I can see it would work just fine. JLC seems to be doing this with their new sport watches - rotating discs or similar for the seconds counter. I've been waiting for a new diver that is purpose built, this comes close but I can't do it with that seconds t

Patek Philippe: Also intrigued by the 5098

I think it's beautiful, and I like tonneau shaped watches. It's dressier than I'd like, but I think it's funky enough to dress down. I'd rather not get a platinum piece, so may wait to see if they do it in Rose Gold paired up with a deep brown strap for a classic look that's less formal.
