I got my watch from the original owner, located in the US.
So maybe the lack of Chronometre imprint on dial is a sign of region the watch was originally sold.
But I doubt to find enough origin details since watches tend to go trough several hands before ending -for a periode of time- in a collection.
But that's just a guess, not even an educated one.
Follow up:
Having a nearly complete 70s dealers catalog next to me, the pages for all 3 Chronometre from the Master Mariner line show no Chronometre imprint on the dials. The Catalog is of Swiss origin. Pages dated 6.75
Btw, the usage of saphire crystal, as Nico mentions, is wrong it is in fact mineral.
