Almost.
I have the original version of this watch, launched in 2016 The original version has an eggshell finish on the main dial and clous de Paris on the reverse. Personally, I find those finishes more interesting than sunburst dials. Some people didn’t like the day night display on the reverse side of the original version, but again, personally, I really like it. The original version came with a quick change gold deployant, but I believe the current model only has a pin buckle.
My practical observations are:
- it’s quite heavy in gold, but I like the weight and it looks and feels special to me on the wrist;
- it’s quite long but fits my 7inch wrist fine;
- I can’t read the calendar indications and date without my reading glasses! In reality that’s not an issue for me because I prefer the reverse side (I particularly like the blue grey tone);
- I thought I might miss a second hand but I haven’t;
- there is no quick set button for the day of the week so you have to keep turning the hands until you get to the right day of the week. That can be a pain;
- it’s my only manual wind watch and mostly I remember to wind it each morning!
- I think the duo face and the combination of complications are fantastic. It really is two watches in one.
I don’t have any regrets.
All the best,
Jon
